About me

My pseudonym, Melizenn, is a reference to the fairy Melusine, sometimes known as Melusina. She and I have a long relationship dating back to my childhood and a fascination for myths – her legend was intertwined with my genealogy – and she is the centerpiece figure of the novel that propelled me towards writing.

What to say… above all, cats are necessary. They are the furry shadow in the dark, the blinking eye casting reflections on your dreams, the weight that bears down on your chest – unbearably present, inescapably defiant of any attempt to confine, define or otherwise delineate their nature whether emotionally or physically.

I began to write with poetry at a young age, which led me towards creative writing until I finally failed at attempting full-fledged stories. It’s been a work in progress.
My universes, references, and inspirations are varied, as you might imagine – yes, I know, that’s possibly the vaguest answer I could come up with, but give me time to fluff this out – and I frequently draw on my experience as a reader, a gamer, and a roleplayer.
